Village Bus

The Village has its own 21 seater bus that is used to transport residents as required…

The bus is driven by paid village staff on scheduled shopping runs which take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Residents place their names on a list the evening before and indicate which area they wish to go to so that the driver can plan the route he will take that morning. The bus leaves the village at 9:00am and drops off, as required, at the nearby Saratoga shops, Kincumber shops, Gosford Town Centre or Railway Station and Erina Fare Shopping Mall. Pickup for return to the village is organised to give residents an hour or so at the smaller shopping areas and two hours at the larger Erina Mall.. The return trips are usually completed by 12:00noon.

On Wednesdays, the bus will extend its run to West Gosford on request. Here there is a large Bunnings, Officeworks,  Anaconda and Spotlight stores.

Twice per month there is a bus run down to the Sydney CBD on the second Tuesday and the fourth Thursday of the month. This service is shared with residents from Broadwater Court Village at Kincumber and there is a  pickup from both of our villages. The service drops residents at Chatswood Shopping area, Circular Quay and then David Jones in the Sydney CBD around mid morning. Pick up from those points commences at 1:45pm for the return trip and arrives back at our village around 4pm. To book a seat on any of the Sydney bus trips ring Amanda at Broadwater Court Village on 4363 1555. Bookings can be made two weeks in advance and a minimum of 10 passengers are required for the trip to go.

Once a month there is a full day bus run up to Newcastle dropping off at local shopping centres along the way before going into the city proper. This service is currently being trialed to see what demand there might be. Seats may be booked  by contacting the Alloura Waters office.

Volunteer residents who have the appropriate drivers license can drive the bus at other times for ad hoc group outings such as lunch gatherings, theatre, sports competitions, meetings and the like, that resident groups have organised for themselves.
