This annual event was once again held in our Centre and a good size crowd rolled up to support the cause. Leone and Kathy did a great job extracting gold coin donations from those attending as well as selling raffle tickets.
As usual, residents were most generous in donating plates of goodies to temp our tastebuds. There was certainly no shortage of yummy things to accompany our tea or coffee.
After we had all enjoyed our snacks and tea or coffee, Leonie and Pat conducted the raffle draws. There was a range of donated prizes on offer.
Each winner drew out the next prize winner….
The final total raised from the morning event was just over $800 for the Cancer Council.
WELL DONE ALLOURA WATERS

This morning saw our annual BIGGEST MORNING TEA event staged once to again to raise funds for theĀ Cancer Council to aid their research. Residents had a very pleasant morning tea and raised just over $670…
Joan and Jan covered the entrance and made sure that nobody escaped purchasing a raffle ticket.
And look at all of the yummy eats on offer!!!!
Alloura residents really know how to put on a “spread” when they are asked to “bring a plate”.
Much chit chat going on.
But they did pause just long enough to grab a “cuppa”, which was one of the main features of the morning.
Then it was time for the raffle draw.
Beth won first prize of a voucher to dine at theĀ Dart & Feather Restaurant down on the waterfront, a bottle of wine and some chocolates.
And Joan won second prize of two boxes of chocolates. But wait a minute, wasn’t Joan on the desk selling the tickets earlier?? HHHMMM… very interesting!!!!
Overall a good result once again for the Cancer council..

Friday 19th May 2017
Once again Alloura residents rallied to the cause and came along to the Biggest Morning Tea event for 2017 in aid of cancer research. About $700 was raised for this most worthy of causes even though bad weather did keep the numbers down a little compared to last ear.

A very pleasant morning indeed, and all for a good cause…Ā See you all again next year.

Friday 1st May 2015
Once again our village was up to the task of hosting a BIGGEST MORNING TEA in our Community Centre and raised around $700 for cancer research.

And as usual there was no shortage of YUMMY things to eat.

The weather was not particularly kind to us with heavy rain which deterred many from coming but we still got a respectable sized crowd..
Thanks to all who did brave the rains and make it over.. it was for a most worthwhile cause. AND…. we will do it all again next year..
A fantastic morning tea. Thanks Kevern, well done ā ā
